A tournament to remember for Unilever guests
In early January, Unilever agreed a two-year partnership with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to become the Personal Care Consumer Goods Partner of both the Men’s and Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Taking place biennially, the Africa Cup of Nations is CAF’s showpiece event, bringing the world’s best African teams and footballers together for a month of intense competition.
The men’s instalment recently took place in the Ivory Coast, and we were privileged to be on the ground delivering Unilever’s inaugural tournament as an official partner. Hundreds of fans, influencers, consumers and employees were flown into the Ivory Coast and given incredible, unique experiences on behalf of Unilever brands; Rexona, Axe, Dove and Clear.
Our project team worked with local Unilever teams to deliver these experiences, and also created standout OOH and digital campaigns that were seen across the continent.
‘Les Elephants,’ as the Ivory Coast national team are affectionately known, triumphed on home soil, capping off an exciting competition with twists and turns throughout. Attention now turns to the Women’s African Cup of Nations, which will take place in Morocco later this year.
