Putting top designers up to a micro challenge
In October, we helped Apartment Therapy, the lifestyle and interior design community, challenge top designers to bring future design trends to life – in small (but flexible!) spaces. All trends were available to explore every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from October 13th -29th at Industry City Design District in Brooklyn.
For the pop-up showcase, Apartment Therapy tasked 18 designers with bringing the hottest 2024 home décor trends to life in eight 120 sq. foot spaces and ten micro moments — all of varying sizes based on the specifics of the design.
Local consumers had the chance to experience the trends, home decor items, and accessories first-hand, while Apartment Therapy’s global audience of home enthusiasts could feel a part of the action on Instagram and Tiktok, as the pop-up was leveraged as a content studio.
All items featured in the designer curations were shoppable via QR codes that lived on signage adjacent to each design. While the pop-up has now closed, the experience lives on indefinitely at smallcool.com.
