Rome looks resplendent as Europe clinch victory over USA
The Ryder Cup, a biannual golf competition contested by Europe and the USA, took place in Rome over the final weekend of September, marking the first time the prestigious event had been hosted in Italy.
It was an electric and sun-soaked three days in the Italian capital city, with Europe securing a thrilling victory over USA in the 44th iteration of the tournament; one which never fails to deliver on quality. The same can be said of our Live team who provided all the eye-catching branding and signage across Marco Simone Golf Club, including the gladiatorial first tee box, and all the transport hubs.
In addition to all the branding and signage, our Live team produced and managed the first ever Ryder Cup Tifo. Designed by a student from the Rome University of Fine Arts, we converted that winning design depicting the iconic Seve Ballesteros into large format artwork and then produced the 21.25m x 27.4m banner before unveiling it on the 1st tee on Saturday morning.
This was a mammoth project involving multiple departments within the business. It turned out to be a fantastic team effort which resulted in a stage fit for the world’s best golfers to do battle.
