Drone drop challenge puts skills to the test
Earlier this year, the UK’s leading home delivery wine merchant, Laithwaite’s, became the Official Wine Partner of England Cricket.
As part of that, Laithwaite’s wanted to support English cricket from the professional level right the way down to the game’s grassroots. To help them do so, we created the ‘Drone Drop Challenge,’ testing the catching skills of four current England cricketers: Jos Buttler, Emma Lamb, Lauren Winfield-Hill and Dawid Malan.
Catches win matches is a popular phrase in cricket, but in this challenge a safe pair of hands would also win a supply of Laithwaite’s Wine for a cricket club of each cricketers’ choice. And there was an added twist. The higher the height the ball fell from, the more bottles they would win. Would anyone be brave enough to take on 400ft?
