WE HELPED KICK-OFF THE NASCAR SEASON WITH ANOTHER MEMORABLE WEEKEND IN FLORIDA
The 2017 Daytona 500 introduced a new, three-stage race format in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, kicking-off the season with excitement and a fresh start. However months before Owen Wilson, the actor and voice of Lightning McQueen in upcoming film Cars 3, said; “Drivers, start your engines,” we had already been building the program to execute many facets throughout the weekend of the Great American Race.
We built and managed at-track productions including the Lady Antebellum Daytona 500 Pre-Race Concert and driver introductions, which were both aired live on FOX, to the national anthem featuring the United States Coast Guard and singer Jordin Sparks. Additional production work included FOX’s staging on the concourse, the NASCAR driver meeting, a freightliner hospitality unit in the infield, a NASCAR hospitality unit in the garage, and a Disney press conference.
Clients including Farmers Insurance, Hisense, Subway and Allegiant Airlines were represented on the track over the weekend. We managed each client’s on-site events and hospitality which included agency meetings, dinners, driver appearances and autograph sessions. Farmers Insurance held a special event for their Board of Governors, with more than 80 people in a premiere suite at track.
CSM was represented during industry events including NASCAR’s Insights from the Inside, a partner appreciation brunch, a start of the season celebration and a post-race celebration following Saturday’s Xfinity race.
As a kick-off to the NASCAR season, the Daytona 500 was where we set the stage for being the leader in sponsorship and motorsports.
