Securing a corporate partner for the team’s home and road jerseys
We are pleased to announce that we have entered into an exclusive agreement with the Texas Rangers to secure a corporate partner for the team’s home and road jerseys.
Starting from the 2023 season, Major League Baseball clubs may wear a sponsor logo patch on either the left or right sleeves of all home and road jerseys. Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association agreed to the new sponsorship opportunity as part of the Basic Agreement signed by the parties in March 2022.
We will represent the Rangers exclusively in the marketplace, leaning on our in-house partnership development expertise, global reach, and data-led approach, to identify and secure the right partner for this major first-of-its-kind MLB opportunity.
“The Texas Rangers are delighted about entering into this agreement with CSM,” said Jim Cochrane, Executive Vice President, Partnerships & Client Services. “Securing the most appropriate jersey patch partner is a priority for us, and we believe that CSM’s experience and expertise makes them the right company to achieve this goal.”
Speaking of the opportunity, Ross Meltzer – President, Properties, CSM North America – commented: “As they say, ‘Everything is bigger in Texas’ and this certainly holds true with the Rangers. The vision and expectations that the ownership group has for the team, in parallel with the multi-faceted growth plan, makes this team unparalleled in the marketplace. We are incredibly excited to represent this famous club as they continue to innovate and expand their partnership family with a first-ever Founding Partner and jersey patch.”
The Rangers enter the 2023 season with a heightened optimism on the field. During the off-season, Texas hired three-time World Series champion manager Bruce Bochy to lead the team while adding former All-Stars Jacob deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi to its starting rotation. This will mark the fourth season that the Rangers have played their home games at Globe Life Field, a beautiful state-of-the art facility with a retractable roof that will be the location of the 2024 MLB All-Star Game.
