Ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League Season, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club kicked their pre-season tour off in style with trips to Perth, Bangkok, and finally Singapore as the new manager, Ange Postecoglou, prepared his team for the upcoming season. Alongside the friendlies and preparations, we helped AIA make the most out of their partnership with Spurs through a myriad of activations in Thailand and Singapore, through CSR activities, media interviews, and player appearances.
In the Land of Smiles, the team helped run a CSR activity where we saw a total of 60 participants invited by AIA Thailand to join a football clinic held at the STB Academy supported by the Tottenham Hotspur Global Development Coaches. For over two hours, the participants honed their footballing skills with some of the world’s best while trying to keep their jaws from dropping with five Spurs players joining the fray and sharing their immense wealth of knowledge – Harry Kane, Brandon Austin, Alfie Devine, Alfie Whiteman, and Japhet Tanganga. All five have come through the Tottenham Hotspur youth pathways, and there could not have been better role models for those looking to make it big from a young age.
In the Little Red Dot that is Singapore, we ensured the media had a blast interviewing the new manager and getting great insights from the experienced Australian.
Lastly, in both countries, we also helped AIA to organise exclusive meet-and-greet sessions where their gleeful and starstruck guests got an exclusive opportunity to meet the travelling Spurs squad and get an item autographed. Lucky Donors to the AIA Charity Lunch even got the money-can’t-buy experience to meet Son Heung-Min and Ben Davies and hear straight from the dynamic duo during a live interview. What better way to end the tour with a match against local Singapore professional team Lion City Sailors, which saw Spurs take home the Tiger Cup with a convincing 5-1 victory.
Needless to say, everyone at AIA across all three countries left with great pictures, unforgettable memories, and a priceless gift in hand! It was an incredible two weeks of football and fun while celebrating healthier, longer, better lives!
