Lifebuoy celebrates partnership with ECB
Friday 15 October saw Unilever brand Lifebuoy celebrate Global Handwashing Day, with activity across their ECB, Chance to Shine and Football League (EFL) partnerships. From a cricket perspective, Lifebuoy and the ECB announced the provision of more than £1M of hand hygiene products across the cricket season, helping the sport return safely post pandemic.
The announcement was accompanied by a video from England’s leading men’s and women’s players talking about the importance of hand hygiene. Our team were also at Old Trafford in Manchester, where record breaking England bowler Jimmy Anderson led a session with local school children.
The session included a lesson plan created by Lifebuoy and Chance to Shine, that helps demonstrate to school children the importance of washing your hands.
Anderson talked about his work with Lifebuoy on 5 Live, as well as recording a challenge with BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell that will be broadcast on Saturday 6 November, as England fly out to Australia for The Ashes. Outside of cricket, the Lifebuoy team had digital takeovers of all 72 Football League club websites, as well as activity on club social media channels to promote a hand hygiene kit that was created for football fans across the country.
