Final stop of NASCAR season at Phoenix Raceway
Across nearly ever race weekend since February, our Production team has been on the road with NASCAR in one capacity or another, and that was no different as the racing series entered its climactic Championship weekend.
Over a weekend which saw drivers Zane Smith, Ty Gibbs, and Joey Logano claim Championship honors in the Truck Series, Xfinity Series, and Cup Series respectively, our team was also out in force, managing a number of projects at Phoenix Raceway.
The week began with a business networking session: Under the Hood – The Business of NASCAR, which we produced from start to finish.
From that moment on, attention soon turned to events on the track, with the team managing the Skydeck hospitality area, and building out two activations – NASCAR Kids powered by AdventureForce Brand, and Ford Performance – for their last stops of the season. We were also responsible for producing the season-ending edition of Trackside Live.
Inside the raceway, the team provided the audio and staging for a pre-race Jon Pardi concert, and for the final time in 2022, managed driver introductions on a custom-designed-and-built stage. The stage went from concept to its live television debut in just five months, beginning as a marker-on-notebook paper sketch before our in-house design team, operations team, fabrication shop, and pre-race team brought it to life.
As Dr. Jesse McGuire sang the National Anthem, the Driver Intros concluded with a fly-by from a pair of F-16 fighter jets from nearby Luke Air Force Base. Just as they were all season, the “Time on Target” was right on the mark. All in a weekend’s work for Production!
