Engaging key stakeholders across multiple cities
As a Principal and an Innovation Partner, SABIC shares Formula E’s commitment to innovation and electrification. The all-electric racing series offers a unique platform for SABIC to engage key stakeholders, and that is exactly what happened at the Sao Paulo and Tokyo E-Prixs in March, and the Shanghai E-Prix in May with our team’s support.
In Sao Paolo, CSM’s team in the Middle East helped SABIC write history, hosting its first-ever joint employee experience with Formula E at the company’s facility in Campinas, Brazil. The day was packed with activities, from bustling Formula E simulators to insightful panel discussions featuring Formula E representatives and SABIC spokespeople. This was followed by a networking event tailored for SABIC customers, showcasing the company’s commitment to driving positive change in the EV industry through the partnership.
Shortly after, Formula E made its debut in Japan with the inaugural Tokyo E-Prix on March 30, drawing thousands of motorsport-passionate Japanese fans to the street circuit of the Tokyo Big Sight.
This was a unique opportunity for SABIC to raise brand awareness amongst the public and prospects in the metropolis, and meaningfully engage with its customers in the region. It opened the door for valuable business networking within the Formula E ecosystem, where SABIC connected with ABB and Saudi PIF amongst others.
Through a premium hospitality program on race day, SABIC showcased to key industry stakeholders the future of electrification and the guests were treated to unique experiences, which included exploring the SABIC Innovation corner at the Official Cars Garage, taking part in the Electric Laps on the 2.6 km circuit, and enjoying a behind-the-scenes tour at the race control center.
At the Shanghai E-Prix in May, the team then helped SABIC design and launch its EMPOWERED pilot program on Friday ahead of the races. This talent-development initiative aims to leverage this dynamic partnership to develop the next generation of industry experts and bright minds. The program saw three East China University of Science and Technology students enjoy a full day of behind-the-scenes experiences at the race track.
The team also managed SABIC’s Leading The Charge. CONNECTED. networking event, hosting a panel discussion featuring SABIC commercial leaders and technical experts from Formula and the Championship trophy presentation.
Over the double-header weekend at the Shanghai International Circuit, our team helped SABIC host a premium hospitality program for its guests which included private garage tours of the Nissan and Mahindra garages, taking part in the Electric Laps on the circuit, and a behind-the-scenes tour at the race control center.
