Ruoff Mortgage 500 thrills fans
From well before to the “green flag” dropped to well after the “checkered flag” waved, our Production team handled a full array of events at The Ruoff Mortgage 500 earlier this month at Phoenix Raceway.
Activating on the NASCAR midway for partner, Ruoff Mortgage, our experiential team provided race fans the opportunity to have their own “Ruoff Mortgage Victory Lane” moment with an activation that featured a slow-motion 360-degree camera, capturing fans’ simulated celebrations with supplied props. NASCAR Artist Bill Patterson was on-hand to paint a custom Ruoff 500 canvas amidst all the ongoing celebrating.
Also at Phoenix, we revived a former staple of the NASCAR midway with the debut of Trackside Live. Best described as the “College Gameday” for NASCAR, Trackside Live is a fan experience on the midway, scheduled to take place at each Cup Series stop for the remainder of the season.
In addition to providing the staging, stage management, LED, scenic and signage, the team was responsible for writing and producing the first edition of Trackside Live, which was hosted by NASCAR personalities Alex Weaver and Mamba Smith.
By partnering with other NASCAR brands including NASCAR e-sports and NASCAR Kids, the goal for Trackside Live to bring race fans into an inclusive footprint featuring unique perspectives on each week’s race along with a variety of live entertainment.
If that wasn’t enough, we also produced the opening ceremonies for the Ruoff Mortgage 500, which featured a concert from the Red Hot Tribute Band.
Stewart-Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe took the victory in the no.14 Ford Mustang, cementing his place in the top 10 of the NASCAR Cup standings.
