Cricket World Cup 2019
In 2019, the ICC Cricket World Cup (CWC) returned to the UK for the first time in 20 years, and we were enlisted to deliver the TV field facing and non-TV facing event branding for the showpiece event.
What we did
Our remit included the dressing of all eleven host grounds used by the ICC for the Cricket World Cup 2019 –with the scope encompassing tier dressing, media centres, merchandise facilities, boundary sleeves, changing rooms, the presentation stage and giant screens.
Throughout the tournament, that amounted to branding 48 matches, and 148 training days, which required a total of 983 days of install.
Aside from the tournament proper, the team was also responsible for delivering a number of additional areas of the CWC including Last Mile wayfinding to each venue, an Emirates Golf Day and the One Day for Children (OD4C) event in Birmingham for the England vs. India game. This involved re-branding the whole stadium in two days and removing the OD4C branding once the England vs. India game was complete.
The results
As with any major tournament, this involved a supreme effort from our team –from design and printing, right through to installation. And for those of an England disposition, the nail-biting finish in the final provided the most fitting climax to more than two years of hard graft.
